The Pasture at Langcliffe Park was an idea from John Smith, farmer and long-term owner of Langcliffe Park. The Holiday Park has developed over many years, offering a peaceful place to stay for those who love the Yorkshire Dales.
At the extremity of the park was a lush, rich grassed area which had been left unused while other areas of the park were developed. John had long wondered how this ‘pasture’ with its wonderful views and quiet location, could be best enjoyed for years to come.
John will tell you that a lot of thinking happens when mowing the grass and finally a planning application was put in for an exclusive development of holiday homes. John wanted to retain the relaxing feel of ‘the pasture’ and offer unobstructed views, so only 19 plots were included in this development.
Initially seven plots were developed, with a second phase being completed in 2019. With the grass growing back, the tree line offering privacy and the exceptional landscaping including dry stone walling, this truly is the ideal holiday hideaway for those who love the Yorkshire Dales.
We continue to be a family owned and run park and hope you will enjoy it.
